The Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines presents a seminar by Aaron M. Dollar of Yale University. The event will be held in the Marcus Nanotechnology Building, Rooms 1116-1118, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. and is open to the public.

Bio

Aaron M. Dollar is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Yale University, where he conducts research on techniques to make a flexible robotic hand. In 2010, he was included in the TR35, Technology Review's Top Young Innovators under 35.

His research interests include mechatronics, robotic grasping and manipulation, machine and mechanism design, rehabilitation and assistive devices, prosthetics, underactuated mechanisms, and biomechanics of human movement.

Dollar received a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences in 2007 from Harvard University. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2010 and the NASA Early Career Faculty Award in 2014.
